Measurement Department
The quality control of Vélvík has been greatly strengthened with the arrival of CMM measuring machines from ZEISS. Complex objects are easy to measure and the result of the measurements is reliable.

The design and custom department of Vélvík has many years of experience in design and custom work. We can design and build everything from simple tools to complex machinery.
CNC Workshop
Vélvík has a machine park on a world scale that can (turned, milled and wire EDM) certain projects from up to nine axes. Such high technology allows us to deliver projects that range from leaf bread knives to high-tech research boats.
We use the latest support equipment such as drawing programs and CAD-Cam systems to maximize the possibilities inherent in the equipment. Thus, we translate each design project from drawing to commands for the computer-controlled construction equipment we use. With Inventor from Autodesk, Rhinoceros and CAD-CAM systems from Virtual Gibbs, we are able to solve all the tasks that come to us.

Injection Moulding
Injection molding is a complex construction, composed of many parts, each of which must be made with the utmost precision. Take the doubt and worry out of the equation and let us build your injection mold.
Blow Moulding
Vélvík specializes in the design, development and production of molds for extrusion blow molding machines and Stretch Blow Moulding. Vélvík has produced such molds for all product categories, large bottles as small, as well as other packaging. We produce, among other things, molds for HPDE, LPDE, PVC, PP and PET plastics.
Prototype Moulds
For parts that are still in the development process, it is unnecessarily expensive to make a perfect injection mold. At Vélvík, we can make a prototype mold for parts that are not necessarily in their final form.
Such molds are also well suited when a limited amount of a particular product needs to be produced. Then it is usually too expensive to make an injection mold for the job. Up to a hundred thousand copies can be produced from a prototype mold in an inexpensive way.
Wire EDM
Wire EDM is a technique that was invented in the years between the first and second world wars. This technique is based on an electric arc that has the shape that is created each time. Initially, the technology was rather primitive and almost exclusively used where other tools were not sufficient. In the course of the years, wire EDM has developed greatly and today it is possible to control the processing very precisely, but the accuracy is 1 my. Surface finish (roughness) is from 0.4 Ra my to 20 Ra my. With wire EDM, it is possible to create a shape that is not possible to achieve with any other technique.
