History of Vélvík
Vélvík was founded in 1988 by Daníel Guðmundsson, a master machinist, and is one of the best equipped companies in the country in the field of precision machining.
We employ professionals with decades of experience in their field and at Vélvík, the craftsmanship and powerful high-tech equipment come together. What you can imagine, we can build.
We offer custom and tooling, general machining and machine building with computer-controlled and traditional machine tools.
Vélvík operates in the field of specialized precision machining where the highest precision is required and nowhere can the slightest deviation be allowed. The company has one of the most complete machine parks available and can therefore meet the requirements of customers to the fullest.
In the company, we have over 50 different machines and tools that allow us to solve the most diverse tasks. Our machine park is on a world scale in its field, including machines that are in a special class in this country.
Vélvík has been working in cooperation with companies and institutions in Iceland for over 34 years and will continue to support advances in precision and high-tech development.
